Tips and Tricks to make the best of your Auction RSS feeds!
1 - If you have a Ebay store, your RSS link is located at the bottom of your store page. Look for the RSS image at the bottom.
2 - If you do not have a Ebay store, you can still use RSS. Do an advanced search for your username, and use the link below the RSS image at the bottom of the search page.
3 - MOST IMPORTANT: SUBMIT your RSS feed(s)! If you have a RSS feed (on your site, eBay, alternative auction site), please submit it anywhere they have a category for your type of feed. Think of it as a webmaster with a new website. The webmaster must submit the feed to search engines before people can find the site on the web. We have a list of RSS submission sites on our Links page!
4 - Submit your auction-related (no-adult feeds please) RSS feed to our feed page. Submit here!
5 - If you have a personal site, link to the RSS feed (containing your items) from your auction site.
6 - Using RSS Auto-discovery. If you have a personal site, make your feed available for auto-discovery. Auto-discovery is used by Firefox, Netscape (8.x and above), and IE (version 7.x and above). To use auto-discovery, place the link to your RSS between the <head> and </head> section of your HTML. Like this:
<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="Title of your Ebay store!" href="link to your RSS">
When a site contains auto-discovery, an image appears next to the address bar in the browser.
